DonorSearch users will notice some changes to the Basic and Prospect Generator screens. These modifications provide some new capabilities, mostly related to the Internet searches. The three changes that will be readily apparent when you review your search results are:

• "Donor Name" is presented in blue. This indicates that it is a live link to the Google search engine. When you click on the link, DonorSearch opens a new window and initiates a search with Google using the contents of the donor name field. Once in Google, you can edit the search string if you want to refine the criteria.


• "Recipient Organization" is presented in blue. Like the donor name field, this indicates a live link to the Google search engine. When you click on the link, DonorSearch opens a new window and initiates a search with Google using the contents of the recipient name field.


• "More Info" is a new column that is also presented in blue. This link combines the contents of the donor name field and the recipient organization field with the city of the recipient organization city field.

The links are changed to a purple or burgundy color after they have been used. We have also added an address field, the EIN number for the reference recipient organization, and a link that will take you to the original donor listing if it is available.
